Caine Delacy has been drawn to the ocean his entire life. That pull led him to study marine biology, eventually earning a PhD in the field. For Caine, understanding the science was never enough. He wanted to show people what he was seeing.

Photography became the natural next step. Picking up an underwater camera to document the state of the world's oceans, he found a way to combine research with storytelling. His images have been published widely in magazines across Australia, the UK, South Africa, and the US, and he's completed standout assignments for The New York Times.

From the grace of blue whales to the intricate pulse of coral ecosystems, Caine's work captures marine life with the precision of a scientist and the eye of an artist. His mission is straightforward: share the ocean's hidden stories so people care enough to protect them.

Now based in Boulder, Colorado (landlocked, ironically), he still makes the journey to the sea regularly for work and with his family for fun. The ocean, as he puts it, will always be his driving inspiration.
