Welcome to Tasmania! Pick up your X-TRAIL and drive to Binalong Bay for a spectacular stay at Bay of Fires Bush Retreat. The Retreat is only a short drive from the stunning sights of the Bay of Fires and is the perfect base to explore this iconic area.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your retreat. Today we recommend to explore the area. Travel north to find the iconic white sand beaches, crystal blue water and orange hued granite boulders. Travel south to find more white sand beaches, rock pools, snorkelling and diving nooks, and a lagoon where you can kayak or stand up paddleboard.
Drive to Freycinet National Park where you will stay at Freycinet Lodge, overlooking the blue waters of Great Oyster Bay and the rugged Hazards mountain range as your backdrop. An award winning sea kayaking tour will take you into the heart of Freycinet National Park.
Enjoy breakfast at Freycinet Lodge and depart for the stunning Wineglass Bay Cruise. Take in the sheer beauty of Wineglass Bay from the rarely seen perspective of the water, a shimmering crescent of white sand fringes spilling into glass turquoise waters. Morning tea, lunch and beverages are included in your Sky Lounge ticket.
Drive to Triabunna to depart for One Day On Maria, a 4-hour scenic cruise of Maria Island including a walk of Maria's World Heritage listed convict settlement. Tonight you'll stay at Triabunna Barracks, a recently redeveloped 1840s sandstone Barracks and Stables transformed into a unique luxury B&B experience.
Drive to Hobart and stay at the Henry Jones Art Hotel, a luxury accommodation where history and art collide. Today you have the option to explore Hobart or take it up a notch — go for a helicopter flight to get a bird’s eye view of Hobart, the River Derwent and the majestic kunanyi / Mount Wellington which towers above the city.
It is time to head to Hobart Airport and drop off your Nissan X-TRAIL. If you can't get enough of Tasmania’s East Coast —which we totally understand— we can always extend your stay!
