Start your Alice Springs adventure by exploring the vibrant city. Visit the social enterprise project, Tjanpi Desert Weavers. Tjanpi artists use native grasses to make spectacular contemporary fiber art, weaving beautiful baskets and sculptures and displaying endless creativity and inventiveness. Then join an afternoon cultural tour to Rainbow Valley with your host, a Traditional Custodian.
Pick up your rental car in Alice Springs. The Toyota Corolla hybrid hatch (or similar) is one of the most popular and trusted cars around. It’s roomy, easy to drive thanks to power steering, and comes with a reversing camera to help you park and back in those tricky spots. Plus, the 7-inch colour screen display means you have a range of features at your fingertips to control the audio system, or you can use the buttons on the steering wheel itself. Finally, the new 1.8-litre hybrid engine charges while you drive, delivering compromised performance and effortless acceleration, so you’re always quick off the mark. Working in perfect harmony, the hybrids petrol engine and electric motor unite to create one powerful, fuel efficient system.
Travel to Rainbow Valley to meet your host, a Traditional Custodian. Relax and get introduced to the amazing Culture and Country. Your host will then share the spectacular art site of Rainbow Valley where you will experience rock art, engravings and occupation sites never before open to the public. In the afternoon, your guide will reveal the ancient landscape of Rainbow Valley and explain some of its cultural significance. In the late afternoon, admire the changing colours of a spectacular sunset.

What better way to see some of the most rugged and spectacular scenery in Central Australia? Your morning begins before dawn when the wind is gentle and a new day is about to begin. Soaring majestically over the terrain you will be overcome by the awesome and vast landscape which stretches out endlessly underneath. Watch the kangaroos grazing as the peaks of the ancient MacDonnell Ranges stretch out like a family of caterpillars crawling over the heart of Australia. Spinifex Ballooning has been operating in the Alice Springs area since April 1992. After your flight toast your morning experience with sparkling wine and fruit juice. This will give you time to truly appreciate the vast tranquility of the desert before returning to your accommodation.
The Kangaroo Sanctuary is a place to celebrate the beauty of the Red Kangaroo – an Australian icon. On this guided sunset tour you will experience a leisurely walk through the Sanctuary’s 188 acre wildlife reserve where you might meet the kangaroo characters from Kangaroo Dundee (BBC/Nat Geo Series) and many others. The Sanctuary is located just outside Alice Springs (the centre of Australia) and is home to Brolga and Tahnee’s kangaroo family. The kangaroos come first, and because kangaroos sleep during the day we don’t disturb them. This is why the guided tours are in the late afternoon — just when the kangaroos are starting to wake from their day-time sleep!

“Thanking the stars I found Airguides and Jono's trip. We were totally taken care of! Paul answered all our questions and took care of the details so all we had to do was get there. Jono Allen is an amazing, talented photographer who created a special group experience. The WHALES were mind blowing. What a gift to be in Tonga staring into the eye of a baby whale! This trip was a lifelong dream come true. I highly recommend it so much we’ve already signed up again for next year!"
"The Airguides trip to Tonga to swim with humpback whales was the experience of a lifetime. I have traveled all over the world, and nothing compares to being in the wild, rustic, deep blue waters of the South Pacific while interacting with whales and their calves. A wonderful and caring team made our adventures stress free. Absolutely amazing, so much so, that I am doing it again this year! Thanks a million Paul, Jono, Al, Alistair, Christian and Polly!"
"Thank you for your help in putting together our trip to the Northern Territory. Everyone agreed that it was the best family holiday we'd ever had and - even better - everyone nominated something different as 'the best thing'."
